Hello, and welcome to this Grubhub dashboard walkthrough. In this video, we’ll show you how to offer credit to customers from within the dashboard..
When deciding “make it right” measures for a guest, you may want to consider offering them credit towards a future order rather than a traditional monetary refund. From within the dashboard you can offer credit for a guest as compensation for a specific order, or give them credit as a general “make it right.”
To do either, you must first locate the customer by searching for their account in the Customers page and visiting their customer profile page.
In order to give a customer credit in relation to a specific order, find the transaction by scrolling through their recent orders and find the order in question. Click Credit under the “Make it right” column for that transaction.
From the “Make it right” page, make sure “Give credit” is selected at the top. Under “Select Promotion” make sure that the correct campaign is selected by default (typically this will be your house account campaign.) Then, under credit amount select either a dollar value or a percentage of the order. Fill in the amount field then enter a short, optional message to the guest if you’d like. Finally, select a reason for the credit-add for your personal records and click Submit.
To give users credit outside of a specific transaction, once again navigate to the customer’s profile page then click the give credit form button located above their transactions list. From here, once again make sure the correct campaign is listed as the promotion and enter in an amount — this time you must enter in a dollar amount.
Finally, write a message to the customer and select a reason for the credit add. Click Grant Concession to finalize the credit add.
In both cases the credit will appear in the customer’s profile immediately.
